YIYIKWOK is a fashion and textile designer brand that is headquartered in Beijing and New York City with several other locations across the world . They were looking to design a website that matched their designer brand. In addition to an overall upgrade that could accommodate their growing business, they wanted to include a full scale eCommerce option for their customers. Every season they release a new series of seasonal clothing, the website needs to highlight the new offerings while still making room for the other items in their catalog. The eCommerce portion of the site would be able to show their customers different designs than what they have seen regionally in-store. It would also need to advertise upcoming designs internationally.

Our solution began with creating a comprehensive, professionally designed interface that could be accessed by both desktop and mobile platforms. We also introduced a basic eCommerce function so international users could purchase items online regardless of regional availability. In our consultation, we also decided that including a fashion series and project display would best show the new and upcoming merchandise. Because of the client’s emphasis on high end fashions and designer products, a fashion series would be able to highlight the new collections and push the special products first. We decided on including a project display section to categorize the various offerings. In high end fashion, lookbooks and product launches are often released as a catalog or collection, and they are best viewed and purchased in context to the other items. On the backend we developed a basic CMS for easy site management. Many different administrators would need to access the site, so it needed to be user friendly and widely accessible.
